New Release 'Shifter' Out on Big Wave Records!
With 2 previous releases via Bushmen Records in 2012 & 2013, Shifter marks the duo`s long awaited 3rd album and debut solo release with Big Wave Records. The 8 track album features a selection of tracks produced by TSE between 2014-2016 and is full of rich mood-shifting atmospheres, intermissions and transmutating rhythms. The album itself is a fine example of The Shimmer Effect`s evolution since the birth of the project in 2010; retaining their unique sound whilst exploring different styles and genres.

Shimmers, by witness accounts, describe an unusual change whereby physical being transforms into a different shape, emitting a shimmering light during such a movement. In pseudoscience this is called: The Shimmer Effect.
Since the inception of TSE back in 2010, both members have personally identified with power animals within the unit ; Sjanine (The Bear) & Stephen (The Wolf). Inspired by the concept of shape-shifting & transmutation, 'Shifter' symbolises their connection on a non-physical level in cyberspace, and a blend of the two musical styles, morphing into one unique sound - essentially becoming one energy over a distance of more than 10278 km apart as the crow flies...
